Unrestored 5ft Victorian “Colonial plantation house” walnut four poster /full tester bedstead , ca 1850.
This is a really superb and solid bed.
It was by repute bought in the 1980s in a auction of the contents of a large plantation house in Barbados.
The bed is currently unrestored as it came in and has a great colour and patina but it will be cleaned and polished. There is a small piece of wood off the cornice which will be refitted as well.

Please note that the price includes full restoration and a high quality 2 1/2″ platform base.
The bed will accept a king-size mattress size 5ft x 6ft6 (150 cm x 200 cm). N.B – the mattress will need to have cut out corners at the foot end as normal on most four posters, this costs typically 10% on top of the standard mattress price.
