Description
Fine quality unusual Georgian mahogany country house desk with drawers to both sides so this desk would have been freestanding and has a raised superstructure of pigeon holes and the writing surface can be adjusted to a slope by a rachet to the preferred angle as required.
The desk has all its original brass drawer handles and side carrying handles.
This would have been specially commissioned by a wealthy client back in the day and is of the finest quality, the baize writing surface will be replaced with a leather writing skiver which can be in your choice of colour and pattern which will enhance the appearance of the desk.
