Description

An exceptional profusely carved 19th century Black Forest hunting lodge credenza. This impressive cabinet is divided in two-parts. The rounded intricately carved base has three drawers above three cupboards, each cupboard having a central panel ornately carved in proud relief with grouse and flowering fruit.

Each drawer having a hand-carved drawer-pull in the form of lion mask. The upper part of the cabinet has a glaze-fronted door revealing three display shelves, flanked by pillar supports carved with mask, flowers and scrolling leaf with bracketed outer display shelves.

The whole cabinet is crowned with a scroll pediment surmounted with a deer head.
